How to accessorize for a Fashion shoot.

Photo shoots are exciting and glamorous - but all the better when
you feel confident for the occasion!

Firstly, a professional photo shoot will use the best lighting and
equipment, and your photographer should help put you at ease so your
personality shines through. Try to be relaxed when you arrive, find a
discreet corner to dance about and loosen up for a few minutes - swing
your arms about, pull some faces and generally get your blood pumping,
shoulders loose and mobilise your features. That way you'll be more
limber and natural looking in your final shots - rather than rigid and
unnatural looking.

For a portrait shot - dip your chin slightly to avoid any unsightly
jowls or double chin effects and look upwards to make your eyes look
larger, and accentuate those cheekbones. Practice in a mirror first!
Pout a little - but not so it looks forced - or for a lively and
energetic look forget the artful posing, go face forward and give your
biggest smile! The most important thing about a photo shoot is to get
energy, vitality and your own personality shining through! Also, pick
your best feature and play it up with good make-up - strong lips or
strong eyes - not both, and make sure your foundation base is matt and
flawless.

For full body shoots, you can knock off pounds by angling your hips
slightly to the side - don't be photographed full on, as it can make even
the slightest figures look stocky! Push your hips out, stretch your
spine upwards, suck in your stomach and put one hand on your hip to
make your arms look as slim and toned as possible. In fact, one other
good tip is to do a few lunges, squats and triceps dips / press ups
just before your shoot, as it will temporarily tone your muscles and
give you added definition for the all important snap!

Finally consider accessories - high heels to lengthen and slim legs,
scarves, brooches and jewellery to add character and interest to your
look. If it's going to be a portrait to treasure, why not splash out
on some superb Designer Accessories such as a killer bag, an unusual hat - very
fashionista - or some funky tights to make those pins look fabulous!
